Advertise Your Garage Sale

Start by making a couple of signs. Make sure that they are big and readable or else people will not be able to notice it. Large, brightly-coloured fluorescent poster boards make great signs. Furniture, auto parts, craftsman tools, collectibles, and others priced under 1 pound! Do not forget to indicate your address, or draw an arrow that leads to your place. In addition, you can also print flyers with text and images similar to your signs.

Place these signs around strategic places such as intersections leading to your house or streets that people frequent. Distribute flyers in public venues such as gyms, schools, or the city hall. In addition, you can ask permission from business establishments in your area to post your flyers in their bulletin boards.

You can also order a space in the classified ads section of your local newspapers. Post your garage sale advert in popular and free advertising sites. Posting in newspapers and free ad sites are great because they are widely read by people in your geographic area.

Lastly, tell neighbours of your garage sale during your weekly conferences like PTA meetings or homeowners' nights.
